Rim Rattler All*West Camp July 11-13--(May 19, 1998)

Dinos Trigonis and Etop Udo-Ema have teamed up with apparel maker Rim Rattler, and have also secured the services of Bob Gibbons as a camp consultant, and will host the First Annual Rim Rattler All*West Camp.

All*West will be held on Saturday July 11, 1998 through Monday July 13 at Redondo Union High School in Redondo Beach, California, and is by invitation only.

This college exposure camp has been NCAA certified and will showcase the top prep talent in the West. The camp will be limited to just 240 players and promises to attract college coaches and scouts from throughout the country. The "Top 20" all-star game will be televised by local cable, and video tapes of all 3 all-star games on Monday will be made available to college coaches, media and scouts. Dinos and Etop expect more than 300 college coaches to be in attendance this year.

In addition to the opportunity to play against the top West Coast competition, participants will be evaluated by Bob Gibbons, and will be included in a special edition of Fullcourt Press. The camp will feature college certified officials, and will also provide SAT and NCAA eligibility seminars in order to make athletes aware of what they'll need to accomplish in order to gain D-I eligibility. Participants will also receive the usual obligatory Camp T-Shirt, which we understand is a really cool Rim Rattler All*West T-shirt.

The fee for this NCAA certified event is $175.00 for day attendees, and $250.00 for resident (i.e., overnight) attendees.

We don't yet know where the overnight housing will be but if it's anywhere in Redondo Beach, it'll probably be pretty nice. While this event does conflict with the second session of the Pump West Coast All-Stars Camp at Cal State Dominguez Hills, its possible to attend both and thus not miss any of the action: Pump I is from July 7-10; Pump II is July 11-14, so if want to attend the Rim Rattler All*West Camp, you'll be forced to make a choice. That is, if you're one of the lucky 240 to be invited.

Further information regarding camp participants and more detailed daily camp information (including camp schedules) will be made available in June. Coaches, scouts and media who desire to nominate players for the camp should contact camp co-directors Dinos Trigonis at (310) 669-2307 or Etop Udo-Ema at (562) 901-8592.
