Pepperdine Will Attend Tourney
In Hawaii This Winter--(May 27, 1998)

BYU-Hawaii, which this year is moving from NAIA to Division II will host a D-I level tournament this winter, and Pepperdine will be one of the D-I teams in attendance. The Pearl Harbor Classic, to be held Dec. 21-23, includes Alabama, Michigan State, Oregon State, Pepperdine, Texas Tech, Tulsa and Weber State, in addition to the host school. The first-round matchups are: Michigan State-Pepperdine, Texas Tech-Tulsa, Alabama-Weber State and Oregon State-BYU-Hawaii.

And who said it was too far for a Texas team to travel to play in Hawaii? We vote to keep the WAC together. Maybe.
