Pete Newell "Big Man" Camp
August 17-22 At University Of Hawaii--(May 12, 1998)

Lots of people have been asking about former Cal Coach Pete Newell's "Big Man Camp"; it's pretty tough to find information about it, including who's coming and who's not, or the exact location. The camp is renowned, and Newell, even at 81, is one of the best at working with post and power forward "big" guys. We called the University of Hawaii's Facilities Office (808) 956-7419), but that yielded only the dates of the camp: August 17-22, 1998.

According to the Orange County register though, several college players will attend this summer, including A.J. Bramlett and Donnell Harris (Arizona), Bobby Lazor (Arizona State), Brad Millard (St. Mary's) and Chris Mihm (Texas).
