"Battle Of The Valley" Seniors
All-Star Basketball Game--(April 8,1998)
The Los Angeles Times, in an article by Eric Sondheimer, reports today that the the "Battle of the Valley" all-star game will be played April 17 at Cal State Northridge. The game is co-sponsored by The Times' Valley/Ventura County Edition. The games will involve contests between players from the Southern Section matching up against players from the City Section. The Boys' game will start at 8:00 p.m., and the Girls' game will start at 6:00 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children.
If you're wondering why some notable standouts, such as Gil Arenas, are not on this roster, apparently the games are only for seniors. It should be called the "Battle of the Valley Seniors". Oh well.
