Cal Poly SLO's Damien Levesque
Signs With Australian Flames--(April 29,1998)

Damien Levesque, who formerly played with Cal Poly SLO from 1993-97 from Santa Rosa, California's Cardinal Newman High School, has signed to play professional basketball for the Challenger Ford Rockingham Flames in Perth, Australia. Levesque ranks second in all-time Cal Poly rebounding with 701 career rebounds, and ranks sixth at Cal Poly SLO in all-time scoring with 1,201 career points. He ranks third in all-time career blocks with 38 and is fourth in career field goal percentage at 50.1 percent. "We are all very happy to see Damien have the opportunity to play professionally," said fourth-year Cal Poly Coach Jeff Schneider who coached Levesque for two seasons. "We now have two recent graduates playing professional basketball overseas with David Sternlight playing professionally in Israel."
