Ex-UCLA Coach Cunningham
Hospitalized After Heart Attack--(April 3,1998)

Associated Press is reporting tonight that former UCLA basketball coach Gary Cunningham, the athletic director at UC Santa Barbara, was in stable condition at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara Friday, a day after suffering a heart attack. Cunningham, 58, was struck Thursday at UC Santa Barbara during a meeting and was taken to the hospital by assistant athletic director Gary Colson. Cunningham had an angioplasty performed at the hospital, UC Santa Barbara director of media relations Bill Mahoney said.

We don't have any further details, but we will tomorrow. Hopefully they'll be good details, and we wish Coach Cunningham a speedy and complete recovery.
