D-I Semi--More Info On Clovis West--(March 12, 1998)
Game 2: Clovis West (31-2) vs. Westchester (27-3)
Thursday 3/12 at Loyola Marymount University, 7:30 p.m.
We're getting some more info on Clovis West all the time now. Finally. . . and only hours before game time. Here's what we got from "Lisa Kanovsky" . . . (hmmm. . . the e-mail address was from sony.com and we sense the fine hand of Michael Miller, Esq. . . . ). Here's Lisa's letter:
Dude!
Manual Arts played that game without James Wright, 5-10 JR PG.I don't know if Chris Lopez, 6-6 SO, played or not for CW. He's the younger brother of Alex Lopez (ex-Campbell Hall and UDub, current Santa Clara Bronco). Normally, he starts at C, with Joe Aiello, 6-4 SR, good shooter, Brad Astin, 6-4 SR, good shooter and Jason Bow, 6-3 JR, terrific scorer and shooter, playing up front. Lester Williams, 6-2 Sr Sg, might be the team's best player, but I love watching Ashley Knowlton, 5-10 JR PG, a mistake-free pure 1. Derek Henkelmann, 6-1 SR and Brad Hertel, 6-1 JR, go in and out; Chris Hernandez, 6-0 FR and Myron Whitaker, 6-4 SO, have a gob of potential. The cool thing about this team is it presses full-court for 32 minutes and they go about 12 deep. So this should be a very high-scoring game, maybe in the 80s-90s for both teams.
Thanks for the information Lisa. See you at the game.
