Southern Section All-CIF Teams Announced--(March 27, 1998)

The Southern Section of the CIF on Wednesday, March 25 issued it's "All-CIF Boys Basketball Team" selections. First and Second Team selections were picked in each of the Divisions I through V. We've already given you the "Players of the Year" in each of the Divisions (remember? Casey Jacobsen in Division I, Tayshaun Prince in D-II, Tony Dow in D-III, Ruben Douglas in D-IV and Conrad Adamczak in D-V), but now were going to go really overboard, and give you all of the team selections too.

The names are too numerous for us to include details on each player. If you need or want more background, just use the "search" selection on the navigation bar, and type in the player's name and you'll find a ton of information on most of these players. Congratulations to all of the players chosen to the All-CIF Teams in each of the Divisions from SoCalHoops.

Here are the team selections by Division, as chosen by the California Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association. The selections are also sponsored by Wells Fargo Bank and the Tamteur Athletic Foundation, but we're not sure just exactly where or how. . . the official Media Release for the 1998 All-CIF Southern Section picks says to "please include the Amateur Athletic Foundation and Well Fargo Bank in the titling of these selections" so we're guessing that there is some sort of grant working here.
