Warrior Classic Update: Pacific
Hills
Holds Off El Segundo--(Dec. 1, 1999)
Pacific Hills held off a late El Segundo rally to come away
with a 84-75 victory at the Warrior Classic at Brethren Christian. The Bruins (2-0) were
led by Sharif Joshua (22 points) Jonathan Wade (18 points) and Anthony Kyles (16 points)
as the Eagles (1-1) were led by Mike Leitch who finished with a game high 30 points
including five 3-pointers. Pacific Hills had a controlling 46-35 halftime lead before El
Segundo made a run to cut the lead to six with 5 minutes remaining. The Bruins extended
the lead to 18 with two minutes remaining and managed to hold off the Eagles as they enter
Friday night's
semi-final game.
