Torrey Pines San Diego Classic
Set For Dec. 17-20--(Dec. 3, 1999)

For those local to the San Diego area who don't want to wait until the San Diego Nike Prep Classic, or who aren't going to the Best in the West, both of which are on December 27-30, or who also can't or won't be making the trip to Las Vegas for the annual Reebook Holiday Prep Classic from December 18-22, there's another option down close to the border: There's the "San Diego Prep Classic", which will run from December 17-20, 1999 and which will be hosted at Grossmont and Torrey Pines High Schools.

Teams will include USDHS, Horizon, St. Augustine and Torrey Pines locally, and there will be 23 teams participating. The Championship is set for Dec. 20 in the Grossmont North gym at 7:15 p.m. We don't know whether we'll be able to personally be there since we're scheduled to be in Las Vegas, but we'll try to arrange with our San Diego friends to provide some coverage.
