Problems With The
Message Forums?--(Dec. 5, 1999)

We've received a ton of mail (about 500 or so emails this weekend) from people telling us that the SoCalHoops Message Forums (Men's and Women's) are either very slow, or in some cases inaccessible and causing timeouts. If this is the same experience you are having, well, you're not alone and we are aware of the problem (although we have no idea what is causing it). On Wednesday and Thursday of this past week we had record numbers of accesses to the Message Forums, and that either means they've become incredibly popular or there's some kind of problem. . . If it's popularity, perhaps we're going to have to move them to another server with a bigger bandwidth. . . but we suspect it's a different problem which started with some interesting posts late Wednesday afternoon. We're looking at the issue and hope to have it resolved soon.

In the meantime, if you can't access the board, let us know via e-mail what you were going to post and we'll try to get it up on the site somewhere, somehow.
