Loyola Tournament Update: St. Monica
Beats Trabuco Hills--(Dec. 1, 1999)

In a pool play game tonight at the Loyola Tournament:

St. Monica 65 Trabuco Hills 56

The Saint Monica Mariner's had a ten point lead at halftime and made 11-15  free throws in the fourth quarter to hold on for a 65-56 victory in pool play of the Loyola Tournament. The Mariner's were led by junior forward Sean  Cole's 20 points and 15 rebounds. The Mariners had four people in double figures. Junior forward Marcus Shelby chipped in 11 points and 10 rebounds. Junior guard Jamayne 'Spud' Potts had 7 assists to go along with 10 points  and junior guard Lance Washington had 11 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists.  Evan Fields of Trabuco Hills led all scorers with 25 and Texas A&M signee  Brennan Martin poured in 16 points.

St. Monica faces Peninsula High school and Trabuco Hills faces Thousand Oaks High in pool play on Thursday.
