Scores & Recaps: All The
Boys' Dec. 8 Games--(Dec. 9, 1999)

We've tried to get as many of the scores and details of games taking place all over the SoCal area as possible from yesterday, and we think we've gotten most of them.  The recap for just the scores is listed first; details follow below. If you know of a score or a result we missed, send us an e-mail, or post it up on the message board. For the tournaments, they're organized alphabetically by the name of the tournament;  for non-league games, the best we can do is organize them alphabetically using the first letter of the winning team.

We will continuously update this page throughout the day following the games, so if you don't see a score or the details, check back later. . .

Ocean View 76, Fontana A.B. Miller 52--Junior Marques Crane, scored 34 points and made 10 of 10 shots from the field including six three-pointers for Ocean View (4-0) in the quarterfinals. At halftime even the referees of Ocean View's game against A.B. Miller of Fontana in the quarterfinals of the Tournament of Champions at Ocean View High were stunned at what was going on as Ocean View played nearly flawless basketball as they led by 30 at the half.  Crane also shott 100 % from three point range, hitting 6 for 6, and he picked up four assists and four steals.  Looks like transferring from talent-laden Artesia was a good move for him because he most likely would not have even started for the Pioneers. The full-court pressure defense of the Rebels (4-1) had litle effect on Ocean View, which scored the first nine points of the game. The Seahawks slowed down little thereafter, leading 26-6 after the first quarter. Ocean View forward Jeremiah Bell scored 12 points to go with seven assists and 10 rebounds. He was also one of several defensive catalysts for the Seahawks. A.B. Miller played better in the second half but couldn't close the gap. Daryl Pegram was the only scoring threat for the Rebels, and the junior center finished with 16 points, seven rebounds and two blocked shots.Ocean View will play the winner of tonight's game between Mater Dei and Serra in the semifinals.  AB MILLER (52) Ramirez 7, Pegram 16, Vernon 4, Jer.
