[Note: These are the program notes we wrote for the Official Best in the West Program. We know for a fact that many of the team profiles were edited to save space in the program. So, we thought we'd at least make some use of the original material by posting it up here. Additionally, with some of these teams, we've already done previews here at SoCalHoops, and where they exist, we'll link to them.

Hanford HS: (Hanford, CA): Coach Brad Felder's Central Section Division I team comes into the Best in the West Tournament looking for some wins after hosting Artesia in it's own tournament in Fresno two weeks ago. The Hanford Bullpups feature Dustin Fults (6'-0" Sr. SG) a good shooter, Antonio Kirkland (6'-1" Jr. F), Kyle Rening (6'-2" Jr. SG/SF) and inside players Dwayne Wibeto (6'-4" Jr. C) and Chad Williams (6'-6" Jr. C). Hanford was seeded last season as the No. 7 team in the Central Section D-I playoffs, but lost early in the first round. They'll be looking to improve, but like cross-Valley rival Hoover, they'll have to get through Clovis West before thinking about a Section title. And in all candor, we don't know a lot about Hanford other than the above and the roster below. We do know that the Fresno Bee's website has a link to a team website, which will eventually have stats, scores and more, and you can check it out here; just be patient because this thing takes forever to load, even with a DSL line, so if you've got a slower modem, be prepared to wait.
