Ocean View Tournament Of Champions
Set For Next Week--(Dec. 4, 1998)

The Ocean View Seahawks will play El Modena in the opening round of the prestigious Ocean View Tournament of Champions next week.  The 20-team tournament, which features some of SoCal's top basketball programs, including defending state champion Westchester, San Diego power Bishop's, perennial CIF power Mater Dei, and eight-time state champion Crenshaw (coached by the legendary Willie West), will be held at both Ocean View and Mater Dei Dec. 7-12.

The Seahawks will meet the Vanguards at 3 p.m. Monday in the first of five games held at Ocean View. In all, the Tournament of Champions will feature 44 games. Tournament play concludes Dec. 12 with championship and consolation championship games at Ocean View.

MONDAY at Ocean View High
3 p.m. -- Ocean View vs. El Modena
4:20 p.m. -- Compton vs. Fontana
5:40 p.m. -- Serra vs. Westchester
7 p.m. -- Morningside vs. Corona Centennial
8:20 p.m. -- Edison vs. Santa Barbara

MONDAY at Mater Dei High
3 p.m. -- Mater Dei vs. St. John Bosco
4:20 p.m. -- Crenshaw vs. A.B. Miller
5:40 p.m. -- Horizon vs. Long Beach Jordan
7 p.m. -- Redondo vs. Ayala
8:20 p.m. -- Pasadena vs. Bishop's
