Some News From Santa Maria,
Santa Ynez & Lompc--(Dec. 3, 1998)

Last night in Santa Maria, the Allan Hancock College men's basketball team still had over 13 minutes to play in its game with Porterville College when one of the visitors shattered a backboard on a dunk.  With no replacement board available, the game was suspended. Whether or not it will be completed at a later date or canceled altogether will be decided by school officials.  Porterville led at the time 58-42.
