Saugus Tournament Thursday Results--(Dec. 4, 1998)

Calabasas 61, Rio Mesa 40--Michael Goldman scored 19 points for the Coyotes (2-0) in the Saugus tournament.

Oxnard 51, Canyon 50--Jason Parker made two free throws with 14 seconds left to give the Yellowjackets a three-point lead in a victory at the Saugus tournament.  Damian Tafoya scored 21 points for Oxnard (2-0).   Jason French had 16 points for Canyon (1-1).

Quartz Hill 56, Royal 49--Jason Tomlin scored seven consecutive points in the final two minutes to break a 47-47 tie and lift the Rebels (1-1) in a Saugus tournament game.Brady Chelette scored 10 points and Andrew Austin had 15 for Quartz Hill who improved their record to 1-2 on the year.

Highland 76, Alemany 58-- Alemany is still waiting for Devin Montgomery and the rest to finish football, and this was basically a varsity vs. jv game.

Antelope Valley 65, Saugus 59 -- Jeome Edwards scored 19 for Saugus but it wasn't enough to defeate AV, who had three players in double figures:   Parm with 21, Reskonski with 14 and Stiles with 14.
