El Rancho High Tournament Results--(Dec. 10, 1998)

Hey, we really don't know all of the teams playing in this one, but we do know the tournament features El Rancho,  Warren, Santa Fe, Paramount, Damien, Schurr, and probably two others, since an 8 team tournament is the minimum number needed.  We don't have hardly anything on this, just a couple of early pool play scores, and we're going to assume that pool play runs from Tuesday through Thursday, and that playoffs will be Friday and the finals on Saturday, but you should check with El Rancho High before going out there. Like we said, we have only a few scores, but we'll put them up anyway.  If anyone out there knows anything about this tournament and would care to send in the details, we'd be happy to let everyone else in on it. Here's what we know about the one result we have from Tuesday:

Paramount 57, Santa Fe 54--Senior guard Michael Bradshaw sealed the win with a lay-up with 12 seconds remaining in the game as the Pirates (1-1) outlasted the Chiefs in a first round contest at El Rancho High. Bradshaw finished with 14 points while senior forward Joe Neal led Paramount with 19 points, 12 rebounds, four block shots and three steals.

And Wednesday, we also only got this one:

Warren 73, Damien 46: The Bears got off to a fast start, taking a 14-5 first quarter lead and senior guard Gray Reed scored a game-high 26 points as Warren defeated the Spartans in a pool play game at El Rancho High. Senior forward Branko Kovacic also had 20 points and junior guard Curtis Williams added 10 for Warren who improved to 3-0 overall. The Bears will continue pool play action today against Schurr at El Rancho at 4:30 p.m.
