Tournament Results--(Dec. 4, 1998)

St. Paul 58, Sunny Hills 49--The Swordsmen used 19 points, five rebounds and three assists from senior guard Alex Villegas in a consolation round win over the Lancers (0-3) at Loara High.

Placentia Valencia 58, Lakewood 40--Anthony Evans and Lamont Mitchell combined to score 24 points but it wasn't nearly enough, as the Tigers (1-2) defeated the Lancers (0-3) in a consolation round at Loara High. Lakewood will next play on Saturday against Sunny Hills at 9 a.m. at Loara High.

La Quinta 71, Servite 47--The Aztecs built a 40-25 halftime lead as they defeated the Friars. Senior guard Chris Smith led all scorers with 29 points. Ben Fredrickson added 12 points and Matt Blanchard 11 for La Quinta. Evan Friedl and John Morris each scored 12 points for the Friars (1-2).
