Glendora Tartan Classic No. 1
Tournament Results--(Dec. 10, 1998)

This is the first of the two Tartan Classics which will be played during the next two weeks. The first Tartan Classic is the smaller, local school tournament, featuring schools like Bassett, Ontario, and several others, but the tournament does feature Marin Catholic as well. Results are pretty sparse, and unbelievably, the papers only had one result from Wednesday's pool play:

Ontario 83, Bassett 58--Jason Burrell scored 24 points and added four steals to lead Ontario past La Puente Bassett 83-58 in a pool play contest of the Glendora Tournament Wednesday. Mike Niles scored 21 points, Micah James had 11 assists and Chris Burns had 12 rebounds and four blocks for the Jaguars (2-0), who will play Marin Catholic today at 6:30 p.m. Bassett scoring was Velasco 3, Naran 5, E. Rojas 6, Naves 4, Albatree 30, Maes 2, Burton 6. Ontario's scorers were Niles 21, Levy 8, Burrell 24, Bratton 3, James 6, Mitchell 5, Merryman 3, Burns 2, Beckum 6, Wade 4.
