Dos Pueblos Gets Back, Beats Arroyo Grande--(Dec. 4, 1998)

We heard from our friend Shantay Legans this morning, and he was in a much better mood than he was following DP's first game, which was a loss.   Last night, Dos Pueblos played Arroyo Grande and beat them, 80-58.  Here's what Shantay had to say:

We won 80-58 I had 25 points and when I left the game at the end of the 3rd quarter we were up 30. I had a long talk with the guys and they played much better,  and I'm encouraging them and telling them what to do when we're playing and that helps a lot. I thought they did good. Arroyo Grande has an up-and-coming big man, Philip Johnson (6'-10" So. F/C) and he's only
gonna get better with some work.  On their JV team they've got a wing player who can cross you over and he's got handles and can shoot -he's 6'5" named Ryan Zimmerman I think. We play Lompoc tonight and Righetti tomorrow.

Solomon is eligible and Cal is gonna ROCK now! GO BEARS!!
