Dominguez Beats S.B. Pacific--(Dec. 21, 1998)
Compton Dominguez played San Bernardino Pacific this afternoon (Monday) in game No. 45 at Durango main, and won 87-77. Tyson Chandler was the MVP of the game, and he played pretty well, although he did tend to lose his focus just a bit during parts of the game. He and Keith Kincade both hit for 19 points, while Marcus Moore scored 14 points and Keith Brooks scored 16. The real difference in the game was rebounding, and Pacific had no one taller than Chaun Ballard (6'-3" Sr. SG) to combat the much taller Dons, and it showed in the final rebounding tally: Pacific 41, Dominguez 66. Keith Brooks had 15, Tyson 15, Marcus Moore 8, Keith Kincade 8. Pacific's Ballard still managed to score 22 points, but he did not have an overall good performance, shooting only 6 for 18 from the field and 5 for 15 from three point range.
Following this game, Dominguez moved on to play St. Ignatius. Our report of that game will follow. In the meantime, here are some pics of this game.
