Tuesday First Round: Crescenta
Valley Tournament--(Dec. 16, 1998)
The second round of this tournament gets underway today. Franklin plays Poly at 3:15 p.m., followed by Maranatha v. Crescenta Vally at 4:45 p.m. and Resceda v. Verdugo Hills at 6:00 p.m.. Finally, North Torrance is scheduled to play Venice at 7:30 p.m. tonight.
We don't have complete results, but we do have all the scores from yesterday's first round, and it looks like Venice is having some difficulty after their complete meltdown in the Beverly Hills tourney. We're certain that Dave Goosen will get David Vance, Glen McGowan and Joe Dural back on track today against No. Torrance, but yesterday they were beaten by Franklin. Huh? Here are the scores from yesterday:
Pool Play:
Crescenta Valley 57, Reseda 46
Franklin 77, Venice 64
Mawranatha 72, Verdugo Hills 56
North Torrance 70, LA Poly 44
