A Bunch Of Miscellaneous
Tournament Results--(Dec. 6, 1998)
We managed to piece together a bunch of results from various sources, but we aren't going to put them up separately. Way too much effort, for too little reading, and a lot of clicking just to get some limited info. So here's what we were able to find out:
Pacific Hills Wins Brethren Christian Tournament --(Dec. 6, 1998)
Pacific Hills 86, St. Anthony 66--Bruin forward Ryan Abrahams scored 27 points, leading his team to a victory over the Saints (2-2) in the championship game of the Brethren Christian tournament. St. Anthony, which trailed by just six at halftime, was led by junior guard Jared Lloyd's game-high 33 points.
Morro Bay Tournament Results--(Dec. 6, 1998)
South 63, Morro Bay 62--Myree Bowden was selected MVP as South (3-0) defeated host Morro Bay in the Morro Bay Tournament. Bowden scored 14 points and teammate Johnny Lee had 12 points and 15 rebounds. Lee and teammate Chris Jones were all-tournament selections for the Rebels.
Corcoran Invitational Tournament--(Dec. 6, 1998)
Tulare Western 60, Wasco 58--Tulare Western used a 25-point third quarter to take control and held on for a victory over Wasco in the third-place game of the Corcoran Invitational Tournament. Jacob Cruz had 16 points for Wasco (2-2) and narrowly missed giving the Tigers the victory when his 3-point shot hit the front of the rim at the buzzer.
Chaminade Wins West
Hills Tournament --(Dec. 6, 1998)
Chaminade 63, Serra 54--Cayce Cook and J.J. Todd combined for 45 points and 18 rebounds to lead the Eagles win the West Hills tournament in Santee. Cook had 24 points, six rebounds and five assists and Todd had 21 points and 12 rebounds for Chaminade (4-0).
St. Bonaventure Wins
Providence Tournament--(Dec. 6, 1998)
St. Bonaventure 63, Providence 60--Michael Emard, the tournament MVP, scored 25 points and the Seraphs (4-0) won the Providence tournament. Shant Bekmezian had 13 points and 10 steals for Providence (2-1).
Delphic League Whitney Takes
Seventh In St. Monica Tourney--Dec. 6, 1998)
Whitney 68, Laguna Blanca 61 (OT)-- Chris Tamas of Laguna Blanca tied the score 51-51 on a putback with 30 seconds remaining to send the game into overtime. Whitney of Cerritos broke it open in the extra period to claim seventh place in the St. Monica Tournament. Tamas finished with 17 points and 18 rebounds, while teammate Brian Niehaus had 13 points and eight rebounds. Laguna's record stands at 1-3.
