More First Day Results: Muir &
Pacific Hills Win--(Nov. 29, 1999)
We didn't get out to these games, but we heard from several people who did.
Pacific Hills 74, St. Anthony's 50-
Pacific Hills went on a 38-14 run in the first half and ran away with a first round victory in the Warrior Classic at Brethren Christian. Amani Daanish (6'-7" Jr. PF) led the Bruins with 17 points and 12 rebounds and senior guard finished with a game high 22 points for the Bruins. Pacific Hills will play El Segundo on Wednesday at 6:00.
Muir 76, Marshall Fundamental 75
We heard from Kristoff Fajardo, who tells us he's the Marshall statistician who said: "In the expected very emotional game for the players....Muir edges Marshall 76-75 in regulation time. We have to give Marshall some credit, (D IV school, 900 students) for hanging with Muir (D II school, 2500 students). This tradition between the schools has been going for a about 5 years and this is the Marshall team that got closest to beating Muir."
