Third Annual Reebok Compton
Tip Off-Classic--(Nov. 17, 1999)

Yesterday's column by Frank Burlison in the Orange County Register reminded us that this year's Compton Reebok Classic will be held a week from this coming Monday, November 29, 1999 at Compton College. Evidently seeing it also reminded Etop Udo-Ema to send us some details of the event, and he sent us a fax last night. Here's what's up:

There will be four games scheduled, and unlike last year, which had the event spread over several days, this year there will just be a single day of action, but it's going to feature some great matchups. The lineup includes a game between Ayala (Chris Pacana, Marcel Burke) v. La Jolla The Bishop's School at 3:30 p.m.. Then at 5:00 p.m. Pasadena (Douglas Thomas) will take on Serra (Aerick Sanders, Doyle Cole). At 6:30 p.m. Travon Bryant and his Long Beach Jordan Panthers will play Perris, and at 8:00 p.m. JW North will matchup against the mystery-men from Compton.

This event has been one of the premier kick-off exhibitions of the past two seasons, and its one you won't want to miss this year either. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students at the door.
