Another UCLA Reminder:
Today Is Preview Day--(Nov. 8, 1998)

Or as they now call it "Fan Appreciation Day."

Both the UCLA's men's and women's basketball teams will host the second annual Bruin Basketball Preview Day. The doors at Pauly will open 1:15 p.m..   Fan contests begin at 1:50 p.m. and the basketball activities will start at 2 p.m. A one-hour autograph session will begin at approximately 4 p.m. and the day's activities will conclude at 5 p.m.

Tickets are part of the UCLA regular season package. All UCLA students with ID will be admitted free; 16-years and younger will be admitted free; fans over age 16 who don't have season tickets will have to pay $5, $7 and $10 for upper, middle and elite seats. All unsold seats will be made available on a first-come, first serve basis. Those with Bruin Basketball Preview Day tickets will also be admitted free to the 1 p.m. UCLA women's volleyball match vs. Arizona in the Wooden Center.

There will be two scrimmages, a 20-minute (running clock) scrimmage featuring Kathy Olivier's UCLA women's team and another 40 minute scrimmage with the men's team.  Baron Davis won't play because he's not yet medically cleared, but you'll see JaRon Rush, Jerome Moiso, Dan Gadzuric, Matt Barnes and the rest of the returning players, including Earl Watson, Travis Reed, and the rest.

Free UCLA men's and women's basketball posters will be available and both Bruin men's and women's basketball media guides will be sold. Bruin season tickets can also be purchased. The UCLA dance team, cheerleaders, mascots and band will perform throughout the day.

This will be a lot of fun, so don't miss it.
