Luke Walton Out For Eight Weeks
With Stress Fracture--(Nov. 6, 1998)
Seems that even Luke Walton (6'-8" Fr. F) of Arizona,
formerly of USDHS, has the "Walton-foot-curse". Luke Walton, son of former
UCLA great Bill Walton, will be lost to the Arizona Wildcats for at least eight weeks with
a stress fracture in his right foot. The injury was
diagnosed after an MRI exam was conducted by team physician Jon Nisbet on Thursday. Luke's
foot has been placed in a cast. Luke's dad was plagued with foot injuries throughout his
career. He's only practiced a couple of times in the past few weeks because of the
foot injury, and it looks like Ricky Anderson, who had been expected to red-shirt, will
probably be playing this season. Hey, get well soon Luke.
