This will be a great tournament, and will feature at least two of the top teams, Artesia and Long Beach Poly, who are seeded at opposite ends of the brackets, and assuming that they each win their respective divisions, you'll see them on Saturday, December 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the championship. Among the first round matchups will be an interesting one, which will pit Artesia against the brand new Long Beach school, Cabrillo, which is not yet in a league; Cabrillo plays free-lance this year and no one really knows anything about them or how well they'll do. As for Artesia, it will be the one of the first chances to see Jason Kapono (6'-8" Sr. SG/SF/PF), Jack Martinez (6'-7" So. PF), Apolinar Fernandez (6'-8" So. PF), Aaron Hamilton (6'-5" Sr. SG/SF) and the rest of the Artesians (or is it Lakewoodians?) try to win the Southern Section and State.
Don't miss it, because this will be some great hoops.
