Mitchell Butler Will Join The California
All-Stars Tonight Against UCLA--(Nov. 10, 1998)

We just got word from David Pump (who's off in Syracuse, NY with the California All-Stars "South" team which features Charles O'Bannon), that another former Bruin, Mitchell Butler, will be joining the California West All-Stars for their game tonight against UCLA.  In addition to Butler, here's the rest of the roster (at least as of one week ago):

Andy Bostick (6'-5" South Carolina)
Damon Crump (6'-3" Concordia)
Fred Edmonds (6'-7" Colorado)
Rozell Ellis (6'-7" McNeese State)
Brian Hill (6'-6" Pepperdine)
Bob Myers (6'-7" UCLA)
Howard Nathan (5'-10" DePaul)
Lorenzo Rollins (6'-6" Gonzaga)
Mark Sanford (6'-9" Washington)
Joe Vogel (6'-11" Colorado State)

We're not sure how they've been doing, but they've played Pepperdine, Hawaii, San Diego, Fresno State, Utah, BYU, UNM, and UTEP, and tonight at 7:30 at Pauley, they'll take on the Bruins.   Sanford and Vogel should give Gadzuric and Moiso a test, and this should be a better barometer of how the Bruins will fare against tougher competition, at least better than what we saw on Sunday where they just got a chance to play against themselves (notice we didn't say "with" themselves. :-) ).

We'll have a game report later tonight.
