Carlos Boozer Visits St. John;
Will Visit UCLA In December --(Nov. 16, 1998)

Carlos Boozer (6'-9" Sr. PF) from Douglas High in Juneau, Alaska, took an official visit to St. John's this past weekend.  He reportedly had a great time, but just how great is really anyone's guess at this point.   And if it's any consolation to Bruin fans, it's now being widely reported (first at Hoop Scoop) that Jack Wolfinger (6'-10" Sr. C) from Redding, Connecticut has officially signed with St. John's.  According to those who have seen him, they describe his game as being similiar to that of Boozer, a big man who likes to play out on the perimeter, sort of a finesse player.

If that's true, then the options for playing at St. John's would probably not be as attractive to Carlos as they would at UCLA, and we're predicting that by the end of the spring signing period, Boozer will be committed to the Bruins.
