The clinic will be held in Crawford Hall on the campus of UC Irvine.Erich Moreno of the Sports and Agility Training Center will start the day off at 9:00 A.M.. They include: Bob Becker of Pacifica (9:30), Jim Nielsen of Redondo (10:00), Jeff Young of Chaminade(10:30), and Rainer Wulf of Trabuco Hills(11-11:30). Each speaker will be working with high school players on the floor.
After a break for lunch, Pat Douglas, head coach at U.C. Irvine will speak during the afternoon session (12:45- 1:30) with the men's team practicing for two hours (1:30- 3:30) after Coach Douglas's talk. Cost for the clinic will be the membership fee into the SCIBCA orginazation which is only $35.00.
Membership in SCIBCA is open to all basketball coaches of any level, whether you are a high school coach, club coach, travel team coach, NJB, ARC, or any other level. Really, this is a great opportunity to get some great tips, communicate with high school coaches and bring together club and travel coaches with high school coaches. In short, anyone interested in learning more about teaching the game of basketball is welcome to attend the clinic. The clinic is FREE with your membership in SCIBCA. Your membership card (existig or newly purchased for this event) is your admission ticket to the clinic. Applications for joining the organization will be availbale at the clinic on Oct. 30th.
This is a great opportunity to pick up some tips and pointers and to pick the brains of those who have been successfully coaching at the high school and college level, and besides being informative, it should be great fun. Don't miss it.
