Long Beach State To Hold
Midnight Madness Tonight--(Oct. 15, 1999)

Long Beach State will hold it's own version of Midnight Madness tonight at the Pyramid. The official Long Beach State Athletics website carried the following official press release:

PyraMidnight Madness To Take Place On Friday

LONG BEACH, Calif. (Oct. 11) -- You can preview the 1999-2000 Long Beach State men's and women's basketball teams when they take the court this Friday, October 15 for PyraMIDNIGHT MADNESS. The doors to The Pyramid will open at 11:00 pm Friday night with the teams taking the court at exactly 12:01 am, Saturday morning. There is no charge for admission and free pizza, popcorn and sodas will be given away to all fans.

The 49er men open their schedule on Tuesday, November 9 as they host Team Fokus in an exhibition game beginning at 7:30 pm. The regular season home opener will be on Tuesday, November 23 when Cal State Dominguez Hills comes to The Pyramid for a 7:30 pm contest.

The 49er women open their exhibition schedule on Thursday, November 11 at 7:30 pm vs. SBC Prerov, a traveling exhibition team from the Czech Republic. The regular season opener will be on Saturday, November 20 as the University of San Diego comes to The Pyramid for a 2:00 pm game with the 49ers.

Season tickets for both the men's and women's seasons will be available through the 49er Athletic Ticket Office.
