Fullcourt Press
Coming Online--(Oct. 26, 1999)
Just what the world needs, another recruiting website. . :-^). Seriously though, we've been suggesting to Dinos Trigonis for the last several years that he ought to go online, and it seems that he's finally decided to get himself a computer, and in the process, will be taking his "Fullcourt Press" recruiting publication online.
For the last five years, the Fullcourt Press has been a recruiting service primarily devoted to college coaches, and it's only been a print publication. But now you'll also be able to find it online, at this link (we'll also be listing it in our "Recruiting Links" section under SoCal-based publications, so you can find it there as well.) The site is not yet fully operational, but from the looks of things, it will have the same features as the print publication, including: "Time Out" columns by Dinos; "Southern California Player Rankings"--always an invaluable tool for college coaches and fans to guage who is out there; a "Top 25 Weekly HS Poll" (similar to the SCIBCA coaches poll); an "Event Calendar"; a column by Dinos' buddy and occasional partner, and our friend Etop Udo Ema, entitled "The Dunk"; and other features including information on Belmont Shore Basketball, The Nike Dream Classic, and the Rim Rattler All-West Camp, all activities and enterprises in which Dinos has a hand.
There will also be a "College Subscribers Only" section for college coaches where they can get more in-depth, and more confidential recruiting information than will be available in the public-access areas of the site.
The site is not yet fully operational, but it looks like an ambitious and well conceived idea. Dinos already has the "Junior Rankings" posted, and it's kind of interesting to note the comparisons between his rankings and our lists, even if we don't utilize a numerical ranking system.
The site is not yet fully operational, and isn't really set to debut until November 1, but until then, you can get a glimpse of it. Check it out, and be sure to let Dinos know what you think. . . that is if you can find an e-mail link to write him (there isn't one yet, so just give him a call at (562) 984-8355).
