805 Basketball To Host A Series
Of Tournaments--(Oct. 21, 1999)

We just got the following information from George D'Entremont, who is the 805 Basketball Club's Business Assistant, and he wanted us (and all of you) to know about four tournaments that 805 Basketball will be hosting this fall and into next year. Here's what George had to say:

Santa Barbara's 805 Basketball will host four youth basketball tournaments during the upcoming 1999-2000 season:

1. 805 Challenge #1 - Sunday, November 14, 1999, Santa Barbara, California (one day only!). Divisions: Boys 10u/4th, 12u/6th, 13u/7th. Two game minimum. Entry fee: $100/team. Entry deadline: November 1, 1999.

2. 805 Challenge #2 - Sunday, January 2, 2000, Santa Barbara, California (one day only!). Divisions: Boys 9u/3rd, 10u/4th, 11u/5th, 12u/6th, 13u/7th. Two game minimum. Entry fee: $100/team.

3. 4th Annual 805 Shootout - Sat-Sun, February 26-27, 2000, Carpinteria, California. Divisions: Boys 9u/3rd, 10u/4th, 11u/5th, 12u/6th, 13u/7th. Three game minimum. Entry fee: $250/team. Entry deadline: February 14, 2000.

4. 805 Showcase - High School Tournament - Sat-Sun, June 3-4, 2000, Carpinteria, California. Tourney open to one division only - Boy's Open High School. Three games minimum. Entry fee: $250/team. Entry deadline: May 22, 2000. Saturday morning's games will be exhibition games for 805's younger divisions (10u through 14u). High school 1st round games will be Saturday afternoon. High school champion will be crowned Sunday afternoon.
