Daily News Reporting Luke Minor
To Visit USC This Weekend--(Oct. 29, 1998)
Scott Wolf of the Daily News reports today that " USC
will have its biggest recruiting visit of the season -- literally -- when 7-foot-3 center
Luke Minor of Blue Ridge High School in Dyke, Va., makes his official visit to the campus
this weekend."
As we've reported before, USC has only one scholarship left to give after offering Nate
Hair (6'-4" Sr. SG/SF) from Capo Valley, and Bibby is looking hard to get a center.
It looks like Soyoye and/or Bibby are wavering, Slocum is hedging after taking a bunch of
visits in the Midwest, so Minor, Paul Steward of Inglewood, and a couple of others
are the guys really involved still. Minor would certainly be just the ticket to
USC's height impairment at the center spot, but he's also looking at Oregon and Kansas
State. Wolf reports that Minor is "expected to sign a national letter of intent
during the early signing period next month."
