Reebok Compton Tip-Off
Classic Games Set--(Oct. 21, 1998)

We just got the final word from Etop Udo Ema, who is promoting this year's Reebok Compton Tip-Off Classic, which is set to take place on November 30, December 1 and 2 at Compton City College.  This is one of the premier showcase events in SoCal and really does serve to inaugurate the season for many of the area's top teams.  Last year's event was a tremendous success, and this one will feature some of the same top teams from in and around SoCal, and some new ones too. And like last year, Reebok is again generously sponsoring the event and will provide great support to the Compton-area basketball programs.

Here's the for-real-honetst-to-goodness-final-schedule.  Really. This is the schedule.

Unless of course some game times get switched.   After all, it's still more than a month away.  But this is pretty definite. So here's who's playing and when:

Monday November 30

4:30 p.m. ---Serra v. Ayala
6:00 p.m.--- Long Beach Jordan v. Riverside J.W. North
7:30 p.m. ---Bishop Montgomery v. Long Beach Poly

Tuesday, December 1

5:00 p.m. --- Pomona v. The Bishop's School (La Jolla)
6:30 p.m. ---Compton Dominguez v. Crossroads
8:00 p.m. ---Compton v. Lynwood

Wednesday, December 2--This is an "all-girls" day, no boys teams

6:00 p.m. ---Gahr v. Compton (tentative, depending upon rearrangement of games)
7:30 p.m. ---Long Beach Jordan v. Dominguez

If there are any changes we'll be sure to post them up. And we'll continue with our series of high school previews and hope to have all of these schools profiled by the time the Reebok Tip-Off Classic actually tips-off.
