Double Pump California All-Stars:
West All-Stars--(Oct. 30, 1998)

As we noted in our last article on the College All-Stars, David and Dana Pump, the founders of Double Pump, Inc., do a lot more than just run the camps, clinics and tournaments for high school and younger players. In addition to the West Coast All-Stars Camps, Dana Pump Camps, and tournaments and shootouts, they   also organize and coach teams of college and professional players on the college preseason circuit.  And this year, there will be four Double Pump California All-Stars teams: The California Midwest All-Stars coached by David Pump and Jody Garner; the California West All-Stars, coached by John Dunn; the California South All-Stars, coached by Phil Bryant and Dana Pump; and the California East All-Stars, coached by former Northridge head coach, Pete Cassidy.  

The West All Stars, coached by John Dunn and assisted by Ramon Laconico, feature some great talent:

Andy Bostick (6'-5" South Carolina)
Damon Crump (6'-3" Concordia)
Fred Edmonds (6'-7" Colorado)
Rozell Ellis (6'-7" McNeese State)
Brian Hill (6'-6" Pepperdine)
Bob Myers (6'-7" UCLA)
Howard Nathan (5'-10" DePaul)
Lorenzo Rollins (6'-6" Gonzaga)
Mark Sanford (6'-9" Washington)
Joe Vogel (6'-11" Colorado State)

The California West All-Stars have one of the toughest schedules around, a grueling two week grind from November 1 through Nov. 17 with only a few days off in between. Here's where they'll be:
