Double Pump California All-Stars:
East All-Stars--(Oct. 30, 1998)
If you've read our last few articles on the California All-Stars, we don't need to tell you that these are teams of college and professional players who will give the college teams a workout during the preseason exhibition period. This year, there will be four Double Pump California All-Stars teams: The California Midwest All-Stars coached by David Pump and Jody Garner; the California West All-Stars, coached by John Dunn; the California South All-Stars, coached by Phil Bryant and Dana Pump; and the California East All-Stars, coached by former Northridge head coach, Pete Cassidy.
The California East All-Stars, coached by Pete Cassidy, will feature:
Brian Alexander (6'-9" University of
Detroit)
Admon Archibald (6'-4" Boise State)
Keith Higgins (6'-6" CSUN)
Adam Jacobsen (6'-2" Pacific)
Daniel Macklin (6'-7" Fresno State)
Ike Nwankwo (6'-10 Long Beach State, UCLA)
Ethan O'Bryant (6'-0" Nevada Reno)
Duane Spencer (6'-10" LSU)
Jerome Vanden (6'-2" Oregon State)
Matt Williams (6'-6" Nevada Reno)
The East All-Stars will play a solid schedule, not as grueling as some of the other Pump All-Star teams, but it's still tough, with a few top of Blue Ribbon's "Top 40" teams thrown in, like Oklahoma State (No. 15), UAB (No. 40) and Oklahoma (No. 29) :
