Fullcourt Press Fall Showcase
This Friday At LBCC--(Sept. 14. 1999)

This Friday, the Fullcourt Press (which is Dinos Triginos' recruiting newsletter) will host the 1999 Fall Showcase, a series of 5 individual games which will showcase the top talent in each high school class, with an added bonus featuring the top JUCO talent in SoCal.  This is an NCAA sanctioned event, which means that college coaches can attend during the recruiting period (which is now, from the 9th to the 26th of September), and many of them, including lots of local D-I coaches (UCLA coaches Lavin and Saia, USC's Bibby, Dominguez & Miller,  Pepperdine's Van Breda Kolf & Gib Arnold,   Northridge's Bobby Braswell, Andre Chevalier & Mike Johnson, UCSB's Bob Williams, and other will likely be there, especially given that some of the talented prospects playing in the senior and junior games are top targets for those same coaches & schools).  The games will all be held at the Long Beach City College Gym, which is located just off of Lakewood Avenue & Carson Street in Long Beach.

We're sure that some of these guys will be no-shows, but most of them will undoubtedly be there, including the ones traveling to Fresno the next morning, as Mats and Dinos seem to have worked out the schedules perfectly so that neither of their events conflict, and there's even enough time for travel to Fresno on Saturday before the start of the first games there at noon.

The Fullcourt Press Fall Showcase is one of those one day events you won't want to miss.  For further information you can contact Dinos Trigonis at (562) 984-8355.

Long Beach City College is located, as we said just north of the 405 Freeway near the intersection of Carson Street and Lakewood Blvd.  From the 405, take Lakewood North past the airport.  Turn right at Carson Street, and then turn into the driveway just north of the gym, between the tennis courts, and you'll find plenty of parking.

See you there.
