Frank Burlison's Summer
"Top 15" Lists--(Aug. 21, 1999)
In case you missed it (and you might have easily unless you have a print subscription to the Orange County Register, and even then you might not have spotted it), Frank Burlison published his Summer "Top 15" lists, including players from the "National" scene and purely "SoCal" players. These lists are based solely on summer performances, and not college-level potential. In other words, these are the guys Frank believed had really good summers, not necessarily those who will become big-time college players. We can't say we disagree with any of them. We might add a few to the list, but we can't think of anyone he's listed who doesn't really belong on either list. Here they are:

We might have added a few more guys like Brandon Brooks (6'-0" Sr. PG) from Portland Jefferson, Antone Jerrell (6'-6" Sr. SF/SG) also from Portland Jefferson, Branduinn Fullove (6'-5" Sr. SG) from Simi Valley, Al Williams (6'-4" Sr. SG) from Bakersfield, and several others, but by and large, Frank's list is pretty good.
