1999 Southern California Summer
Showdown Teams--(July 7, 1999)

We don't have a schedule yet, but Dinos Trigonis sent us a list of the teams that will be participating in the first ever 1999 Southern California Summer Showdown, which will run frm July 21-25 at the Brethren Christian Warrior Center, located in Cypress (directions are below).  This will be a 36 team, invitation only event, and will be NCAA Certified so that college coaches can attend during the open evaluation period.   We're not sure what kind of reception this new tournament will get, but we're guessing that lots of coaches will also check this one out in addition to the 48 team Slam N Jam NIT at Cal State Long Beach and the much larger 96 team adidas Double Pump Best of Summer which will be held now at two locations, Cal State Dominguez Hills and the Rolling Hills Prep facility just down the street off of Carson.
