Slam N Jam NIT Final
Championship Schedule--(July 25, 1999)

Today marks the final day of the Slam N Jam NIT tournament at Cal State Long Beach. New York Riverside Church beat a depleted "The Hood" which is basically Compton Dominguez minus Sherman Gay who is out with an injured ankle and Keith Brooks who was also reportedly injured as was Larry Johnson, and as a result, The Church advances to the final today at 3:00 p.m., and they'll play the winner of yesterday's 8:15 p.m. semifinal game, which was between the winner of the No Limit v. All-Ohio Red game at 12:45 p.m. and the winner of the North Riverside v. FullCourtPress game whcih was also played yesterday at 12:45 p.m.

The Championship is at 5:45 p.m. today so if you're down in the Long Beach area, you'll want to get out to see it, and you'll also want to check out the third place game at 4:15 p.m. which will be one of the last chances to get a look at The Hood before the team takes a break for the summer.

All of today's games are played in the West Gym (the Goldmine). Here's the schedule for today:

11:30 a.m. Friendship Bracket Championship
12:45 p.m. --Consolation final
3:00 p.m. --Fifth Place Game
4:15 p.m. --Third Place Game
5:45 p.m.--- Championship Game
