We're still not done with our coverage of the adidas Las Vegas Big Time Tournament, but events continue to overtake us, and one of those events is the 16th annual Slam N Jam NIT, which this year has a new sponsor, Warehouse Shoe Sale, so this year they're calling it the "16th Annual Warehouse Shoe Sale (WSS) Slam N Jam National Invitational Tournament." Now if that sounds too long and cumbersome, we think so too, and we hope nobody minds if we just continue to call it the Slam N Jam NIT.

The tournament will be a little less than half the size of the adidas Double Pump Best of Summer, with 44 teams, and we know that several of the same teams will also be playing in both tournaments. Here are the pool assignments and the scheduled games for tomorrow, Tuesday July 20, 1999.

For the first time in a long time, only one game will be played at the Goldmine (the East Gym at CSULB) during the first day, and all the rest of the games will be played at Cal State Long Beach in the West Gym only, and at Long Beach Wilson High School (which is just off PCH near Bellflower Blvd).
