Consolation Bracket Results & Standings--(July 30, 1999)

Yesterday's results are posted below, and the bracket is complete through last night's last games at 8:30 p.m. The consolation games, for 9th through 14th place will be played today. Sports Express, a team which was pretty much thrown together at the last minute, lost again last night and because TPI forfeited, there was no 15th/16th place game played today, so Sports Express finishes in 15th and got to go home, and thus put itself out of its misery early. Which is not to say that some of the Sports Express guys didn't have some moments where they played well, and in fact some of these guys, or most of them all have the capacity to be top recruits at the mid to high D-I level, just not all together on the same team. Really, they did not play at all well together, and in several cases, they probably didn't enhance their recruiting by playing the way they did. But more on that later. For now here's the bracket for the consolation games:
