Anthony Davis Transfers And So Does
Anthony Davis--(July 6, 1999)

Anthony Davis (6'-2" Jr. SG) from Fairfax, who recently played at the LA Watts Summer games with the Fairfax Lions, has now transferred to Inglewood.  Anthony is an excellent player, strong and tough, with a decent shot and good defensive skills.

Of course, Anthony Davis should not be confused with Anthony Davis (6'-3" Jr. SG) who attended Locke HS last year, and who plays for the LA Rockfish's number one travel team, which is, aptly called "LA Rockfish."    This Anthony Davis also is a pretty hot shooter, a strong, quick shooter with excellent range who can fill it up and hit for 43 points in a single game this spring at Rockfish Spring League.  It looks like this AD is also transferring, and he was playing with the Cleveland HS team throughout the War on the Floor Tournament last week.

We had a chance to talk with both of them, and they are great young men. The Rockfish AD told us that he was considering the transfer to Cleveland but has not yet made up his mind. "I know the academics are good at Cleveland, but I'm not yet certain about making the transfer. I just want to find the right situation where I'll feel comfortable," Anthony told us.

We're expecting to see one or both of the Davises at West Coast All-Stars or at Rim Rattler, or at both.  Inglewood's AD will also continue to play with his high school team in several tournaments throughout the month of July.
