West Coast All Stars First Session:
100% All Star Game--(July 10, 1999)

Following the Frosh-Soph game and   following the Juniors, was the 100% game, the game reserved for those players who really hustled their butts off during the camp.  They may not have been among the "best" propsects, but they were singled out to play before the college coaches because they had the kind of drive, stamina and in many cases good, fundamental skills, from shooting, dribbling, defensive ability, or something that caught the eye of many of the coaches in camp.

Here's who the committee chose for this game:

One player we watched in this game, other then the Japanese players who hustled their butts off the entire week and in many cases were better players than their American counterparts, primarily because they never complained (at least not in English), never hogged the ball, and often outshot the US boys, employing good solid techniques and skills, was Archie Wiley, a strong, tough player who we'd swear was bigger than 5'-10" and who rebounded and even shot the ball pretty good.   Who knows, maybe even if one player gets spotted as a genuine college prospect out of this game, it's worth being in it. Just ask the D-III guy who just got drafted into the NBA whether it really matters where you're seen, just as long as you get seen.
