san gabriel tournament results

San Gabriel HS is running a 24 team tournament, which actually turned into a 23 team when Pioneer dropped out. But San Gabriel had about 18 guys on their squad so coach Jon Keller decided to split the team into two squads to fill in. We really have no idea how anyone actually played in this tournament, but we do know that San Gabriel managed to get some measure of revenge on Marshall Fundamental (which beat San Gabriel in the Duarte Tournament Championship game last weekend), this time by the score of 60-53--and it was actually the San Gabriel "B" team. And we hear that Martin Del Toro, San Gabriel's quick guard, managed to outscore Deverion Mackey (6'-4" Sr. SG/SF) Marshall's most athletic player 21 to 15, although Mackey did manage to get in about 4 or 5 dunks in the game.

Hopefully we'll hear more details over the weekend about individual play from the teams and players, including high scorers for each game, and ultimately who makes the all-tournament team. In the meantime, here are the scores from today's games, and the schedule for tomorrow and Sunday.
