USDHS' Mike Malloy Enrolls
At Washington State--(June 17, 1999)
Our friend Mike Miller over at
PacWestHoops is reporting that Mike Malloy (6'-4" Sr. SG/SF) from University of San
Diego High School has enrolled (or at least he's been accepted) at Washington State for
next year. Mike also reports that Malloy will try to become a walk-on to the
basketball team, and given what we've seen of him over the years, including this past
spring at the Dada Classic at UCLA, we think Malloy will be a great addition to the team.
He's athletic, strong, can run the floor, and best of all he is an excellent
outside shooter who can also take it to the rack. Like Mike Miller, we're also
amazed that Malloy somehow slipped through the recruiting cracks and didn't get a D-1
offer, but everyone else's loss will be the Cougar's gain. Good luck to Mike Malloy,
and we're willing to bet we see him this season in the Pac-10.
