Jack Pollon Named Head Coach
At Valley Torah--(June 11, 1999)

Jack Pollon, a former assistant boys' basketball coach at Montclair Prep, and also a part-time sports writer for the Daily News and LA Times has been hired by Valley Torah High School as the new head basketball coach and athletic director at the school's new campus.  Valley Torah has made the playoffs the last few years, and actually has had a pretty decent team with one of the better shooters in the Valley in Edmond Gerov, who unfortunately for VT has graduated. We're sure that Jack will do an excellent job and will find someone to replace the high-scoring Gerov.
